Final Fantasy Resonance Pre-Order Bonus: Contents, Deadlines, and How to Claim

The key distinction is timing: the Pre-order Bonus is the Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack, while the Early Purchase Bonus is the Squire Kickstart Pack. They are separate from the Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector edition contents, and their availability depends on when and where you buy.

Quick Answer

Pre-Order Bonus Contents

The Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack contains:

• Magitek Airship Passkey ×1
• Knight’s Greatsword ×1
• Chestplate of Preparation ×1
• Magicite Shard ×1
• Tent ×3
• Mist Potion ×3

The Chestplate of Preparation increases battle EXP, but the official listing only says it does so “by a certain amount.” No verified percentage is currently available, so this guide does not invent one.

The Magitek Airship Passkey changes the Airship’s appearance to a Magitek vessel. The current platform descriptions indicate that it can be toggled from the main-menu Items screen.

Early Purchase Bonus

The separate Squire Kickstart Pack contains:

• Blessed Cuirass ×1
• Mist Ether ×1

Blessed Cuirass increases Gil earned from battles. As with the EXP effect above, the official wording does not provide a verified multiplier.

The Early Purchase Bonus is not the same as the Pre-order Bonus. It is intended for a limited purchase window that continues after launch, subject to the platform and region deadline shown by the store.

Pre-Order vs Early Purchase Bonus

The practical rule is simple: if you want the Pre-order Pack, purchase before the game releases. If you miss that, do not assume the Early Purchase Pack has also expired; check the store-specific deadline.

Which Editions Include the Bonus

The purchase-timing bonuses are not Digital Deluxe-only content. Official Standard listings on PlayStation, Nintendo, Steam, and Xbox include the Pre-order Bonus, and Digital Deluxe listings include it as well.

That means the choice between editions should be based on the edition contents, not on whether the purchase-timing bonus exists:

• Standard: includes the full game and can include the purchase-timing bonuses when bought within the eligible window.
• Digital Deluxe: includes the full game, the purchase-timing bonuses when eligible, and the separate Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack.
• Collector’s Edition: includes the selected game edition and Deluxe upgrade structure described on the editions comparison page, with purchase-timing eligibility still controlled by the purchase date and store.

Platform / Store Availability

The current evidence shows the Pre-order Bonus on the major platform stores:

Availability and wording can vary by region. Always treat the store page for the account and region doing the purchase as the final checkout reference.

Bonus Deadlines by Platform

The current US listings show these Early Purchase Bonus deadlines:

Do not collapse these into one universal cutoff. The deadline is time-sensitive and may differ by platform, region, storefront wording, or stock conditions.

How to Claim the Bonus

The official store descriptions say that you must progress to the required point in the game first. After that, collect the items from the postbox in front of the inn in Town of Mitra.

The items are therefore not necessarily placed in your inventory immediately at the start. If you have purchased an eligible copy and cannot see the rewards, continue until Town of Mitra and check the postbox after reaching the required progression point.

Is the Pre-Order Bonus Worth It?

For most buyers, the bonus is a useful early-game convenience and cosmetic extra rather than a reason to choose a more expensive edition. The Pre-order Pack gives equipment, consumables, a Magicite Shard, and the Magitek Airship appearance key. The Early Purchase Pack adds an EXP/Gil-supporting piece of equipment and Mist Ether.

The safest buying decision is:

• Buy Standard if you want the game and the eligible bonus items.
• Buy Digital Deluxe only if you also want the separate Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack.
• Buy Collector’s Edition for the physical collectibles and Deluxe upgrade, not because the Pre-order Bonus is exclusive to it.

The official sources do not establish that every individual Pre-order item is permanently unobtainable by every other future method, so avoid treating the pack as proof of permanent equipment exclusivity.

FAQ

Is the Pre-order Bonus included with Standard Edition?

Yes. Official Standard product pages list the Pre-order Bonus, so it is not limited to Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Edition.

Is the Early Purchase Bonus included after launch?

It is intended to remain available for a limited period after launch, but the exact deadline depends on the platform and region.

Is the Pre-order Bonus the same as the Deluxe Pack?

No. The Pre-order Bonus is the Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack. The Digital Deluxe Pack is the separate Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack.

When can I collect the items?

After the required story progress, check the postbox in front of the inn in Town of Mitra.

Are the item effects fully known?

Not yet. The official listings confirm that Chestplate of Preparation increases EXP and Blessed Cuirass increases Gil, but they do not publish exact multipliers.
